Mark Kermode (of the BBC) still thinks 3D cinema is a passing phase.

So his video blog says. He says it will not be popular in two years from now.
I’m sure I’m more open-minded than that. I wouldn’t like to see that every film is available in 3D.
I think of 3D as a film-making tool, in the same way that surround sound is a tool, and colour is a tool, and photography is a tool. Each of these can tell the story and give the viewer a different emotional experience. That’s what matters.
